Flux x Alice in Blockchains

FLUX, co-financed by the European Commission – European Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA), is set to revolutionize the art scene by empowering women artists to explore the cutting-edge realms of blockchain and NFT technology. Our partners include Labin Art Express (Istria, Croatia), MOTA (Ljubljana), and MEET (Milan), forming a dynamic coalition dedicated to driving innovation and inclusivity in the digital arts.

With a total project budget of 248,771.00 EUR, FLUX will span from December 1, 2023, to January 31, 2025, offering a platform for female artists to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of new technologies and artistic media.

At the heart of FLUX lies a commitment to gender equality within the NFT art market. Through a series of workshops, conferences, lectures, artistic residencies, and exhibitions, we aim to amplify the voices of women artists, empowering them to shape the discourse and direction of digital art.

Key highlights of the project include:

🎨 Exhibition featuring approximately 10 visual NFT artists at the 5th Industrial Art Biennial in Istria.

🎵 Showcase of sound NFT artists at the Sonica Festival in Ljubljana.

🌍 International conference dedicated to new trends and issues in the crypto/NFT art market during the Labin Biennial.

🔍 Research-based artistic residencies for digital artists in Labin and Istria.

💻 Launch of an online portal for blockchain/crypto education.

🖌️ Blockchain art workshops and presentation of workshop results at exhibitions in Labin, Ljubljana, and Milan.

By placing women artists at the forefront of FLUX, we are not only championing their creativity but also paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse future in the digital arts.
